Ireland goes to the polls today to vote on whether to make changes to the country's strict abortion laws, which is upheld in the Eighth Amendment of the Irish constitution. Citizens will vote on whether to repeal the 1983 amendment, which effectively bans terminations in the country. Currently, abortion is only allowed when a woman's life is at risk, but not in cases of rape, incest, or fatal foetal abnormality. If the repeal is passed, women could access a termination within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Niall Horan made headlines for less serious reasons this week. He was spotted out and about in Los Angeles this past Sunday, May 20, with rumoured girlfriend, American actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld.
