Fans were divided on his response, with some saying he went too far and should acknowledge both that he's a celebrity and that he can't just damage people’s property. Others said he simply needs a break, which the rapper himself has previously admitted.
Fans taking selfies at Miranda Lambert's Las Vegas residency show was enough to tick her off. She began her song 'Tin Man' before she suddenly told her band to pause and said, as captured in a fan video, "These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song," she pointed to some people in the front. "It’s [ ] me off a little bit." She shook her head as some of the crowd cheered. “I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music," she added, gesturing for them to put their phones down.

Someone responded to that thread and said, "and we don't know you. but we have supported you through thick and thin. mind you you'd be NOTHING without us. you'd be working at a grocery store making songs on [ ] garage band miss high school drop out..." and Doja replied saying, "nobody forced you idk why you're talking to me like you're my mother [ ] you sound like a crazy person."
