She was born in Subiaco, in the province of Rome, which is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
To help the family out financially, the young Lollo started selling charcoal drawings and posing for soap opera magazines.
Furthermore, she refused to participate in the filming of ‘The Lady without Camelias’ by Antonioni, and even said no to ‘La dolce vita’ by Fellini.
Lollo also stood out behind the lens, and some of her portraits became quite famous.
In 2006, at the age of 79, Lollo revealed that she had been in a long and secret relationship with a 45-year-old Spanish entrepreneur, Javier Rigau, and that she planned to marry him.
After that, Rigau said that he had broken it off with the actress, but there were rumors that they had a secret wedding. One of the stories that was published suggested that he had married her without her knowledge.
And thank goodness she did, as the world of cinema wouldn't have been the same without her.

But it was the film ‘Bread, Love and Dreams’ that pushed her to success. The world immediately fell in love with her after seeing her in the role.
