Cardi B opened up about her "uncomfortable" acne struggles, asking her Twitter followers for advice. “I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry. I don’t think these products are working. I think it’s the water out here," she tweeted. She also shared a photo of a breakout on her cheek, writing, "It’s been happening for like 3 months now … S—t really is uncomfortable.” Cardi added that she'd been to a dermatologist but that they didn't help.
'WandaVision' actress Kathryn Hahn spoke to People for their 2021 "Beautiful Issue" and opened up about when she didn't feel so beautiful. It was after her "goth period," when she had piled on so much foundation that "you needed a sandblaster to take it off," when she had developed cystic acne. She would struggle to cover it up with tons of makeup on top of the blemishes, and that lasted right up until her 40s, at which point she adopted a diligent skincare routine and her acne started to clear up.
“Acne really does something to your self-esteem, especially when you’re on camera,” Hahn shared. “Once that started clearing up, I definitely felt more comfortable not wearing makeup.” Now, she says, she's wearing less and less the older she gets.
