Sarah Ferguson allegedly had a casual relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, and once brought her daughter Princess Eugenie to one of the rapper’s notorious parties—a claim said to have been confirmed by another associate of Combs. According to a source, the pair first met in 2002 at a New York party hosted by Ghislaine Maxwell.
The allegation is one of several sensational claims made by sources in royal biographer Andrew Lownie’s book 'Entitled,' which explores the downfall of the former Duke and Duchess of York: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. An excerpt published in the Daily Mail on May 8 alleges that Ferguson “made no secret how she wanted to marry someone in the US who was wealthy and powerful.”
The source claimed the “secret friends with benefits” arrangement lasted four years, starting in 2004, with Combs even saying his 2006 fragrance Unforgivable was inspired by Ferguson. The pair allegedly met in Africa and Europe, staying in luxury hotels, including one reportedly costing over US$62,000 (£50,000) a night.
Sarah Ferguson once enjoyed an enviable lifestyle. Her marriage to HRH Prince Andrew in 1986 elevated her into royal circles and British high society. But their divorce 10 years later signaled the end of a glamorous and extravagant existence that would ultimately end in scandal and shame.
With her ex-husband now stripped of his royal titles and banished from the royal household, Sarah Ferguson is bereft of wealth and status. And she remains in hiding, her image tarnished by increasingly damning revelations about her association with Jeffrey Epstein. So, how did this fairy tale become such a nightmare?
