Neverland Ranch was Michael Jackson's home for nearly 20 years. The sprawling property set within verdant grounds in

Los Olivos, California, featured its own zoo and amusement park.

Neverland was named for the mythical island in the story of Peter Pan and became synonymous with the King of Pop and his eccentric lifestyle. 

But the ranch also played a central role in the lurid allegations of abuse leveled against Jackson, which, while eventually acquitted of, prompted the singer to abandon Neverland for good.
