A history of the late Queen's beloved corgis
The British royal family's favorite dogs

She loved them since she was a child, and they accompanied her through much of her long reign as queen. We're speaking, of course, of the late Queen Elizabeth's beloved corgis. While the Queen was always reserved and private, her love for her dogs was something that never failed to show her soft side and make her relatable to the public against all odds.
It's believed that she left behind at least four dogs; two corgis, a cocker spaniel, and one "dorgi" (a hybrid mix of a dachshund and a corgi that the Queen is credited with creating). She is surely missed.
On a happier note, click through the gallery for a look back at the Queen's life-long love affair with corgis.
