Kanye West's presidential bid, and other most shocking quotes
The star has announced, again, that he's going to run for President
©
Getty Images

Outside of his accomplishments in music and fashion, it is safe to say that Kanye West is known largely for his outlandish statements and publicity stunts. The rapper and designer recently sent shock waves through America once again by announcing his presidential bid—once again. The first time he teased this plan was in 2015, but on July 5, five years later, he tweeted, "We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,. I am running for president of the United States!"
His wife Kim Kardashian West and entrepreneur Elon Musk have endorsed him, but no word from his pal Donald Trump. While the likeliness of this bid going anywhere does not seem probable, since the election is in a few months, West has yet again demonstrated his ability to shock the internet.
From claiming slavery was a choice to saying he shares "dragon energy" with Trump, click through this gallery to remember the most outrageous things Kanye West has ever said—which, we all know by now, probably won't affect his presidential bid at all.
