There's no quicker way to humanize celebrities than to learn about all of the horrendous mistakes they've made, and all the times they've swerved onto the wrong side of the law. Lucky for you, we've compiled a list of the most troublesome stars who've been taken into custody, sometimes repeatedly.
Rapper Young Thug's home was raided and he was taken into custody on May 9 in Georgia on charges of criminal gang activity. Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, is one of 28 people named in a 56-count indictment, which includes violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, or RICO, Act and participating in criminal street gang activity, NBC reports.
The allegations center around Atlanta street gang YSL, or “Young Slime Life,” of which Young Thug is alleged to be one of its three founders, according to the indictment filed in Fulton Superior Court. Young Thug's lawyer, Brian Steel, said his client is innocent and will be vindicated. “Mr. Williams has committed no violation of law, whatsoever. We will fight this case ethically, legally and zealously. Mr. Williams will be cleared,” Steel said.
He is being charged with two counts: conspiracy to violate RICO, which stems from an alleged incident in 2013, and participation in criminal street gang activity, which is connected to an alleged offense in 2018. Fellow rapper Gunna has also reportedly charged with one count of conspiring to violate RICO.
