Tony Gaze -

Tony Gaze (second left) entered Formula One race at the 1952 Belgium Grand Prix. His last entry was also in 1952, in the Italian Grand Prix. That said, Gaze has participated and won many other racing championships aside from Formula One.

The racing driver, who passed away in 2013, was a Royal Air Force fighter pilot before becoming a famous name in the world of Formula One.

Jack Brabham -

Jack Brabham was crowned Formula One World Champion in 1959, 1960, and 1966. to this day, Brabham remains one of the most famous Formula One drivers from down under.

The Sydney native retired in 1970 and passed away in 2014, at age 88.

Jack Brabham - Similarly to Tony Gaze, Brabham worked for the Royal Air Force before getting into racing in 1948. He was a flight mechanic for the aerial warfare branch and even owned his own workshop at one point.

He is also the founder of the Brabham racing team and car construction company with engineer and race car designer Ron Tauranac in 1962. 

The racing team later included his sons Gary and David Brabham (pictured).

Frank Gardner - Race driver Frank Gardner (pictured) participated in nine Formula One Grand Prix races throughout his career, not to mention all the other races he took part in around the world.

Tim Schenken - The Syndey-born race driver entered a total of 36 Formula One races in his lifetime, yet never won the title.

His fist Grand Prix was in 1970 and got a place on the podium in 1971 (at 7th place).

Previously, in 1968, Schenken came 1st place at the British Formula Ford Championship and at the British Lombank Formula 3 Series.

Schenken remains to be one of the five Australians to ever step foot on the Formula One podium.

The 75-year-old retired racer was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2016.

Vern Schuppan - Schuppan was born in Booleroo Centre, South Australia and entered his first Grand Prix in 1972 in Belgium. The 1977 Dutch Grand Prix was his last entry.

Vern Schuppan - Schuppan's biggest racing win was at the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans race, where he drove the Porsche 956 and landed first place.

Larry Perkins -

Larry Perkins' first Formula One entry was at the 1974 German Grand Prix, but he did not qualify for the race.

He also entered the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix and landed in 13th place. His last two entries include the Belgian Grand Prix (came in at 12th place) and French Grand Prix (did not qualify), both of which took place in 1977.

Larry Perkins -

Despite never landing a Formula One title, Perkins (left) has won many motor racing competitions including the National Formula Ford Driver to Europe Series, the Australian Formula 2 Championship, the European Formula Three Championship, the Rothmans International Series, and the Australian Rallycross Championship.

He grew up in a farm in Cowangie, Victoria, with his race driver father Eddie Perkins.

Alan Jones - Alan Stanley Jones is a Melbourne-born Formula One driver who has won 12 Grand Prix titles and made it to 24 podiums throughout his career.

Jones' first Grand Prix was in 1975 in Spain, whilst his last was the 1986 Australian Grand Prix. 

His first win was at the 1977 Austrian Grand Prix and his last win was at the 1981 Caesars Palace Grand Prix.

Jones and his race driving father Stan Jones are among the few father/son combinations to win the Aussie Grand Prix.

The pair first entered the world of Formula One in 1990, but in different races.

Gary Brabham entered United States Grand Prix in March, whilst David entered at the San Marino Grand Prix, held in May.

Gary Brabham's last Formula One entry was also in 1990, at the Brazilian Grand Prix. 

In 1989, he won the British Formula 3000 Championship, after coming in second at the Lucas British Formula 3 Championship in 1988.

David Brabham -

David Brabham, a racing driver specialised in sports car racing, is Sir Jack Brabham's youngest son and a winner of various 24 Hours of Le Mans races.

His first Formula One entry was at the 1990 San Marino Grand Prix, whilst his last was at the 1994 Australian Grand Prix.

Mark Webber - After Jack Brabham, who was active on the racing scene between 1955 and 1970, Webber is the second Aussie racer with a Formula One career spanning over a decade.

Mark Webber - Webber's first Formula One entry was at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix. In 2009, at the German Grand Prix, he got his first win.

Daniel Ricciardo -

Daniel Ricciardo has won seven Formula One Grand Prix races since joining in 2011.

His first entry was at the 2011 British Grand Prix, and his first win was at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2014.

Daniel Ricciardo - It was when Webber retired from Formula One that Ricciardo joined the Red Bull Racing team as his replacement.

Ricciardo's latest win was at the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix. 

In August 2018, Ricciardo announced he would be leaving Red Bull Racing and joining Renault F1 for the 2019 and 2020 Formula One races.
