Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber spent years trying to help their son Presley Gerber with his substance abuse struggles before his death at age 27, according to a source cited by People. The insider said the model and businessman pursued multiple forms of treatment for their son, including therapy, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and “so many types of homeopathic therapies.”
They also reportedly hired multiple sober coaches who were with Presley “almost always” and supported him in pursuing work as a model or photographer. The family is “devastated,” the insider claims.
Presley, who had previously spoken publicly about his mental health struggles and his experience with psychedelic drug treatment for addiction, died on September 20 after an apparent overdose and cardiac arrest, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. He was reportedly at a rehabilitation facility at the time of his death.
