The president shared the article on Truth Social, which included a family tree linking their ancestry, and added, "Wow, that's nice. I've always wanted to live in Buckingham Palace!!! I'll talk to the King and Queen about this in a few minutes!!!"
The Daily Mail reported that King Charles III and Donald Trump are 15th cousins, tracing their lineage back to Scottish nobleman John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Lennox (1490–1526), a great-grandson of King James II of Scotland.
His line is said to pass through several families, ending with the MacLeods—also the maiden name of Trump’s mother, Mary Anne MacLeod.
