CELEBRITY Body positivity
Being an A-lister means all eyes are on you, which often leads to intense scrutiny and can make even a rich and famous person feel insecure. It's a topic that has arguably been mostly discussed by women, but, luckily, plenty of male celebrities have also opened up about their private battles with body image. From Hollywood hunks to all-star singers, many men have dealt with insecurities about their own body.
Jonah Hill has been outspoken in recent years about the struggles he's had with his body, and now he's put his dedication to body positivity in permanent ink! On August 1, the actor-turned-director shared a photo on Instagram of his new back tattoo that reads, "Body Love," which plays on the logo of water sports apparel company Body Glove.
Hill previously opened up about his old insecurities on Instagram in February: "I don't think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid 30s even in front of family and friends. Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren't exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers," he wrote. "I'm 37 and finally love and accept myself."
In this gallery, we recap the stories of male celebs who have been honest about their body image and physicality. Read on!
