There is nothing more elusive than cracking into Hollywood, and today's famous actors have taken so many different routes into the world of stardom that it's nearly impossible to plan a path. One common starting point, however, turns out to be modeling. Some more glamorous photoshoots than others...
'Shang-Chi' star Simu Liu has been acting for a while, including roles on shows like 'Kim's Convenience' and 'Nora From Queens,' but before he became a big Marvel star, he started out as a stock photo model. Photos of the actor posing in fake scenarios have been making the rounds on Twitter, and the results are hilarious. Through these stock photos Liu has been a businessman in a meeting, a construction worker, an accountant (ironic because he revealed on Twitter he really was an accountant with Deloitte and "got laid off because i was so bad"), and a generic active young person.
Apparently, this isn't the first time these photos have surfaced, as Buzzfeed reports he once shared on his Instagram story: "I did ONE stock photo shoot for 100 bucks cash in 2014... and I have ended up on HUNDREDS of ads and storefronts and pamphlets and textbook covers." He added, "Moral of the story; Think twice before doing a stock photo shoot because they own the photos FOREVER."
