Sheryl Crow opened up about one of the most difficult periods of her life during a recent appearance on Netflix's 'The Bobbycast,' which aired on May 19. The singer revealed that her ex-fiancé Lance Armstrong began dating a “really famous actress” around the same time she received a breast cancer diagnosis in 2006.
"We split in the same week I got diagnosed with breast cancer, and I found out he was seeing a really famous actress," she explained to host Bobby Bones, choosing not to name Armstrong directly nor the actress. She also recalled the emotional toll of those circumstances: “I went through about nine months of radiation and grieving and anger.”
Armstrong and Crow started dating in 2003, got engaged in 2005, but then broke up in February 2006.
Like Crow, many celebrities have faced their own cancer diagnoses. Thankfully, many have lived to tell the tale and inspire us with their perseverance in the face of such adversity.
