Tom Cruise has praised Prince William for making a “smart choice” in marrying Kate Middleton, after spending time with the Prince and Princess of Wales at the London premiere of his new film 'Digger.'
Speaking to Extra at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on September 28, Cruise recalled his interactions with the royal couple last week, and complimented Middleton’s personality and style.
“She’s got a great sense, incredible sense of humor,” he said, adding that she is “very intelligent and fun” and praising the couple as “charismatic” and “elegant.” He also called Middleton’s custom purple Jenny Packham gown “stunning.”
Cruise then turned his attention to William, joking, “William did well. Way to go. Smart choice.” The actor said it was “so fun” to see the couple watch the film and be part of the premiere, adding that he has “so much respect” for them and their dedication to the UK and their work around the world.
And it seems Cruise isn’t the only one who has noticed what makes this royal couple so special. The Prince and Princess of Wales are the definitive royal couple of this era. The pair met as flatmates in university, and have stuck with each other through the years. After a celebrated marriage in 2011, the couple have had three beautiful children: George, Charlotte, and Louis.
