Their relationship wasn't always healthy - Turner revealed on Dr. Phil's podcast that their friendship developed a "quite destructive" side because they stuck to themselves both on and off set, isolating themselves with their friendship.

But they helped each other - Williams told Glamour, "Sophie knows too much about me to not be my friend. I can't tell you the amount of times Sophie said, 'Go to therapy' before I actually did. She really helped me through some messy break-ups and some friend break-ups."

Filling Turner's void - The star was meant to be a twin, but her unborn sister didn't survive the pregnancy. Turner said that she always felt there was something missing, using that sadness in 'GoT' scenes, but perhaps Williams filled that gap.
