- Ashley Ellerin was in a different phase of her life. Single too, but not nearly as successful as Kutcher, instead she was working her way up as a fashion student. She worked part-time as a stripper to make extra money. After meeting each other in 2000, they made plans again. Kutcher was to take Ellerin out to a Grammys after-party, living it up with L.A.'s elite. When the actor arrived to meet Ellerin, the door was left unanswered. Kutcher looked through the window and saw what seemed to be a pool of red wine on the floor. Kutcher left, assuming she had just blown him off, but the young Ellerin was later discovered murdered in her home.

Law and order: celebs who testified at trials
Leonardo DiCaprio testifies for prosecution at star-studded trial of Fugees rapper Pras Michel
© Getty Images
Court can be a scary place, even for a celebrity. No one's truly above the law, and many celebrities have been sentenced to prison by judges around the world. That said, celebs have also helped out at criminal trials too.
Leonardo DiCaprio is one such case, as he took the stand on April 3 as the first A-list witness in the star-studded trial of former Fugees member Pras Michel. Michel is accused of participating in a global campaign-finance conspiracy in connection with the 1MDB corruption scandal, funded by Malaysian businessman Jho Low, who allegedly stole billions of dollars from the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund. DiCaprio was testifying to prove that Low used stolen money to hang out with actors, models and politicians in the US, CNN reports, as Low had personally helped fund DiCaprio's films and environmental foundation.
Of course, the actor isn't the first celebrity who has taken the stand. Whether to protect friends, family, or themselves, plenty of celebs have appeared at court to tell the truth, from Macaulay Culkin's defense of Michael Jackson to Naomi Campbell's testimony at a war crimes trial. Click on to meet the other celebs who have testified at court.
