Drake joins Backstreet Boys onstage to perform "one of the greatest songs in music history"

Music is a fundamental part of the human experience. From tear-jerking love songs, to the most uplifting party tunes, we all have a soundtrack to our lives. We all have that special song that, for one reason or another, we love.

And when you're Drake, you can join the artists onstage to perform the song of theirs that you like best! The rapper joined Backstreet Boys to the stage in a surprise appearance at their show in Toronto on July 2, just as they were closing their set.
Before they kicked off their 1999 hit 'I Want It That Way,' Drake took a moment to explain what the song meant to him as a 13-year-old kid. “At my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest songs in the world was playing, and she asked me if I would dance with her,” the rapper said. “It was the first time I ever felt acknowledged and it was the first time I ever felt like I had a shot at being cool.”
“And by the way, if she could see me now!” he added, calling the track again “one of the greatest songs in music history" before closing his eyes and joining in the rendition.
