One of Hollywood’s most influential agents has made a striking comment about his former professional relationship with Meghan Markle.
Ari Emanuel, the executive chairman of WME Group, was asked about the 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex in a recent interview with The Times. The outlet reported that Emanuel previously represented Markle before the pair “parted ways last year.”
When asked where he believed her career was headed, the 65-year-old executive gave a blunt response: “Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
However, WME told People that the agency still represents Markle and Archewell, the organization she founded with Prince Harry and which is involved in philanthropic operations and media production. WME did not elaborate on Emanuel’s comment or explain the circumstances surrounding his reported departure from Markle’s representation.
