Ben Affleck has won US$1 million for his charity after taking the top prize on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' with his teammate Jamie Ding, a former 'Jeopardy!' champion.
During the episode, which aired on July 29, the pair correctly answered the final question about US presidents’ pardoned turkeys, celebrating with an embrace.
Affleck’s winnings will be donated to the Eastern Congo Initiative, the nonprofit he co-founded in 2010 to support communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His victory comes a year after his longtime friend Matt Damon also won $1 million on the ABC game show, donating his prize money to the nonprofit Water.org.
