Mike Tyson
- On a JetBlue flight from San Francisco to Florida on April 20, fellow passengers recorded as Tyson got into an altercation with a man on the plane. Footage captured from multiple angles shows that the man was seated behind Tyson and stood up, leaning over the chair to speak to the famous fighter. Apparently, the interaction didn't go well. A friend filming the man commented "My dawg done got lit, he over here rapping with Tyson," adding that his friend "don't know how to act." Things quickly turned violent and Tyson was seen punching the man in the face repeatedly, leaving him with cuts and blood on his face. The narrator continued, "My boy just got beat up by Mike Tyson." He seemed shocked and confused by the incident, saying, "Just tryna ask for an autograph. Man, I don't know what happened." A representative for Tyson claims that the man was bothering him and threw a water bottle at him before the altercation. Both men were removed from the flight and detained by the San Francisco Police Department. The man in question reportedly refused to cooperate with the police so both he and Tyson were released.

Stephen Amell
- Actor Stephen Amell opened up about an incident in June 2021 when he was removed from a Delta flight after, as he said at the time, he had gotten into an argument with his wife onboard. A flight attendant had asked the 'Arrow' star to lower his voice, and then he was removed, with Delta reporting that "an unruly customer was deplaned from the aircraft prior to departure in Austin." Months later, on an episode of Michael Rosenbaum's podcast 'Inside of You,' Amell admitted that he was "deeply ashamed" of his actions. "What happened was—and it's very, very simple—I had too many drinks, and I had too many drinks in a public place. And I got on a plane," he said. He explained that he was upset about something that didn't have to do with his wife, but added, "I picked a fight because I wanted to be loud and upset."

Chris Kattan
- Beloved actor and 'Saturday Night Live' star Chris Kattan was kicked off his flight to LA after an incident in which he reportedly refused to wear his mask. Witnesses say that Kattan entered the plane in a strange state, as he was allegedly stumbling, appeared to be sick, and had removed his mask. Flight staff decided to remove him from the plane after repeated requests for him to pull his mask up. Kattan's attorney stated that Kattan would never refuse to wear a mask and fully supports the CDC regulations. He claims that Kattan was suffering a allergic reaction caused by supplements he was taking for a neck injury, which caused physical and psychological side-effects. They also caused him to have trouble breathing, which was offered as an explanation for the mask issue.

Celebrity airport and airplane altercations
Viral video shows football pro Brendan Langley in physical altercation with airline worker
©
Getty Images

Flying is stressful for everyone. Celebrities are no exception! Even with millions in the bank, traveling by air can bring out the worst in people.
Former Denver Broncos cornerback Brendan Langley was arrested for allegedly assaulting a United Airlines employee at Newark Liberty International Airport on May 19. A viral video of the incident showed the unidentified employee slap Langley, who then throws a series of punches, toppling the employee, though the employee continues to taunt him and re-engages in the altercation. It remains uncertain what caused the confrontation, authorities confirmed.
Langley, who currently plays for the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL, was arrested and charged with simple assault, but was released on his own recognizance soon after. On May 23, he tweeted that he acted in self-defense: "u can clearly see soooo many @united employees watching everything unfold while im basically begging for help. craziest part not one of them helped De-escalate the situation! it was like they wanted it to happen. like i had a target on my back."
As for the employee, who worked for subsidiary United Ground Express, United Airlines revealed in a statement that he has been terminated from his position. "United Airlines does not tolerate violence of any kind at our airports or on board our planes and we are working with local authorities in their investigation of this matter,” the statement read.
Check out this gallery to see which other celebs have had serious airport drama and in-flight incidents.
