Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters are among the major acts set to perform at the Power to the People Festival in Columbia, Maryland, on October 3. Described as a celebration of “peace, justice, solidarity, music, and community action,” the one-day event will also feature artists including Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Jack Black, and Tom Morello.
Springsteen and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello announced the festival on May 27 during Springsteen’s concert at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. Addressing the crowd, Springsteen urged Americans to “fight for the America that we love,” while Morello described the event as a celebration of activism, creativity, and hope.
The festival will take place at Merriweather Post Pavilion with performances spread across two stages, alongside nonprofit organizations and advocacy groups.
