Kristen Bell
- Kristen Bell has said that when she's struggling with her mental health, she turns to three things: exercise, talking about it, and simply giving herself a timeout. "It's important to remember those feelings that you are having aren't 'your feelings,' but rather 'a feeling that is passing through you,'" she elaborated on the last point. "Sometimes, with a mental health issue, you just got to let them live." She applies that same logic to parenting her two daughters. When one of them is crying, she'll ask: "Do you want a solution to this problem you're crying about, or do you just want to let this feeling pass through you?" Bell gives herself that opportunity to let feelings pass by retreating to her "bedroom for 10 minutes, just to reset and regulate," and she believes giving her kids that same option is of the utmost importance.

And I'm not going to tell him that it's okay to read books about all the wonderful little farm animals, and they say ‘oink oink oink' and ‘moo moo moo', and not tell him that that's what a hamburger is." Celebrities give their best parenting advice
Today is Global Day of Parents
© Getty Images
While it seems like celebrities exist in a realm separate from us mere mortals, there is always one thing you can rely on to bring them back to ground level: the grueling reality of raising children. Sure, you can have money, fame, and worldwide fans, but you still have to assume all the gritty chores of being a parent.
Pop star Rihanna recently welcomed a baby boy with A$AP Rocky. However, she has been thinking about having kids for a long time. Back in 2021, she said that she planned to have three or four kids in the next decade, either as a single mom or with a partner.
Rihanna doesn't believe that two parents are necessary to raise a child: "They diminish you as a mother if there's not a dad in your kids' lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness, that's the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That's the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
