All the royal traditions Meghan Markle has broken
The Duchess of Sussex is the first British royal to write about suffering a miscarriage
© Getty Images
Meghan Markle was a breath of fresh air among British royals, and then she, Harry, and Archie took off for North America, officially having stepped down from royal duties. Albeit the most extreme example, this was by no means the first time she breached royal protocol and traditions. Most recently, she penned an opinion piece for the New York Times in which she revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage in July. In doing so, she became the first British royal to publicly write about suffering a miscarriage.
Indeed, Princess Diana ruffled some feathers in her day, and Meghan Markle makes sure she keeps the tradition of breaking royal rules alive. Click on to discover just exactly what we mean.
