Bond for the fifth and final time -

Daniel Craig played James Bond for the fifth and final time in 'No Time to Die' (2021). The actor was 38 when he first appeared as 007, starring in 2006's 'Casino Royale.' He leaves the franchise having personified the role for 15 years.

The heaviest drinker -

Craig's James Bond is the heaviest drinker of the 25-film series (not including 1967's 'Casino Royale' and 1983's 'Never Say Never Again'). Roger Moore's 007 was the most sober, downing the least alcohol during his 12 years in the role.

Love lost -

Craig's Bond has had the least love affairs. In fact, he's quite restrained and at times uncharacteristically loyal. In 'Casino Royale' (2005), he suffers heartache and sadness after becoming involved with Vesper Lynd (played by Eva Green), a lover who betrays 007 with tragic consequences.

Aston Martin DB10 -

Only 10 models of the Aston Martin DB10 were developed for the film 'Spectre' (2015). Eight of those 10 cars were featured in the movie, and two more were built for promotional purposes. In 2016, one of these "show" cars was sold at auction for US$3.2 million (£2.4 million).

The best "Bond girls" - Monica Bellucci (pictured) and Léa Seydoux share the co-star honors in 'Spectre.' Incidentally, Bellucci, who was 50 when she appeared in the film, became the oldest actress thus far to be cast as a "Bond girl." According to Craig, both rate among the best "Bond girls" in the entire franchise.

French actress Léa Seydoux (pictured) was 30 when she appeared in 'Spectre.'  Craig described her as "lovely, intelligent and athletic... everything that a Bond girl should be." The actress reprised her role as Madeleine Swann in 'No Time to Die.'

While Craig appreciates the fact that he's regarded as one of the best Bonds ever, the actor has admitted to tiring of the character. He's also pointed out that 007 is a misogynist who while acting like a ladies' man, actually demonstrates an aversion to women.

The actor fully acknowledges how women have won better roles in recent Bond movies, citing Judi Dench (pictured) as M, and those playing Miss Moneypenny, a character that's been allowed to develop far more than just M's secretary.

A different generation - Daniel Craig was born on March 2, 1968, by which time Bond had appeared in cinemas on five separate occasions (six if you include the 1967 parody 'Casino Royale').

First after Fleming - Craig is also the only Bond actor to have been born after the death of Ian Fleming. The author who created the legendary secret agent died in 1964.

Missing teeth -

Unveiled in October 2005 as the new actor to play the fictional MI6 agent, Craig underwent a makeover that included a haircut and bulking up his physique. The famous fight scene in 'Casino Royale' resulted in the actor losing two front teeth.

In tune with Bond - British singer Adele wrote and recorded the theme song to 'Skyfall,' which was nominated for and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It was the first time a Bond song had won.

Sam Mendes, who won the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Director for 'American Beauty' (1999), directed 'Skyfall' (which won the BAFTA for Outstanding British Film) and 'Spectre.'

The longest 007 films - Of the five movies in which Craig has starred, four are the longest in the entire franchise: 'Skyfall' is 143 minutes long, 'Casino Royale' runs for a total of 144 minutes, 'Spectre' clocks in at 148 minutes, and 'No Time to Die' is a whopping 163 minutes!

The shortest and the blondest - Standing at 1.78 m (5 ft 11 in) tall, Craig is the shortest Bond. He's also the only one with blond hair.

A more humane Bond - Critics agree that the biggest difference between Craig's Bond and his predecessors is his humanity and vulnerability. Craig's 007 is not the fearless and cold-hearted agent of old. Instead, he portrays a far more realistic and less glamorous operative.

Best Bond villain - According to Craig, Javier Bardem, who plays the role of cyberterrorist Raoul Silva in 'Skyfall,' is the best Bond villain of the franchise.

A non-smoker - Previous Bonds in earlier movies have all smoked. Indeed, Bond likes his tobacco. However, Craig's character has never smoked in a single scene. The actor had just given up the habit when he won the role, and wasn't about to give into temptation.

Bond to Bond - Apparently Craig hesitated before taking on Bond, even though it's generally regarded as a role of a lifetime. Ironically it was Pierce Brosnan, who was not asked to reprise his 007 after 'Die Another Day' (2002), who convinced Craig to accept the part. "Daniel Craig is a great actor and he's going to do a fantastic job," Brosnan predicted.

More expensive - With a budget of around US$245 million, 'Spectre' was the most expensive movie of the James Bond movie franchise until the announcement of 'No Time to Die' and its US$250+ million production cost.

Bond wins a BAFTA nod -

In 2012, Daniel Craig was nominated for the BAFTA for Best Actor in a Leading Role for 'Casino Royale'—the first actor ever to receive a BAFTA nomination for a performance as James Bond.

Location, location, location - Bond fans recognized the backdrop for 'Spectre.' Several locations seen in this film had already been used in other James Bond productions, namely 'The Living Daylights' (1987), which was shot on locations in Austria, Morocco, and England.
