Justin and Hailey Bieber allegedly asked former Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz and his family to leave their New York apartment with just 24 hours’ notice after his infidelity scandal became public in November 2020. The account comes from Lentz and his wife, Laura Lentz, in their new book, 'Overcoming Infidelity: 10 Conversations to Help You Heal the Hurt,' published on October 20.
According to Laura, the couple had been discussing a possible move to Brooklyn for months when someone from Justin Bieber’s team contacted them, telling them they had one day to vacate the apartment.
“We hastily packed our things and loaded them into a rented U-Haul,” Laura recalled, according to the Daily Mail. Carl also reflected on the situation in the book, acknowledging that he understood why the Biebers wanted him to leave but feeling that his wife and children had been caught up in the fallout. “I deserved to be kicked to the curb, but I felt Laura and the kids were just innocent bystanders suffering once again for my sins,” he wrote.
