Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, and Jon Voight to become Trump's Hollywood ambassadors
US President-elect Donald Trump has many famous supporters
© Getty Images
On January 15, President-elect Donald Trump made an announcement on Truth Social that he wants to name Mel Gibson, Jon Voight, and Sylvester Stallone as “Special Ambassadors” to Hollywood. Trump indicated that he hopes to bring back “The Golden Age of Hollywood” in order to revive the industry.
In his post, Trump wrote, “They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”
Gibson said he was surprised by Trump’s announcement regarding his new role, having heard about it at the same time as everyone else. However, the star responded that he is ready to help.
Trump is, to say the least, a very divisive figure. But while actors, musicians, and other celebs are, by and large, a liberal bunch, there are always a few who go against the grain. Take a look through this gallery to read about some of the celebrities who are supporters of Trump.
