It has been revealed that Jeffrey Epstein sent an alleged, and chilling, final message to his friend Michael Wolff hours before reportedly committing suicide in his jail cell in New York City. On July 10, Wolff revealed in an episode of the Daily Beast Podcast that he believes himself to be the last person Epstein sent a message to before his death.
“His message to me hours before this happened, and it was just in response to me asking how he was, and he said: ‘Still hanging around,’” Wolff told podcast host Joanna Coles.
Wolff said that he did not think the message was coded and that it was rather "in character," explaining that Epstein was known for his "unserious, ironic" tone. He also said that Epstein asked him to write a book about him, but the author rejected the proposal.
What exactly do we know about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes and his death?
The disgraced multimillionaire was found dead in his jail cell on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial for trafficking a minor. But accusations against him dated back decades. Survivors said he preyed on girls as young as 14, often luring them under the guise of giving massages in exchange for money.
Epstein allegedly used his wealth and influence to build a network that recruited girls and connected him to powerful figures, including politicians, Hollywood elites, and even royalty. While no credible evidence has been found to implicate other parties that could have been involved, it is undeniable that he had many connections who could have known about him engaging in child exploitation for years.
