NBA star Tristan Thompson has officially become a citizen of the United States. The Canadian-born basketball player grew up in Brampton, Ontario, but has enjoyed a fruitful career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and has just signed a US$19 million deal with the Boston Celtics. “I came to the US on a student visa and have always had big dreams," Thompson said after fulfilling the requirements to become a naturalized citizen. "I’m now truly living the American dream.”

Though they're both US citizens, Wilson is also of Greek descent via her mother, and she and Hanks often vacation in Greece. In January 2020, Hanks was made an honorary citizen of Greece, and in July it was made official. What's more, "citizenship has reportedly also been extended to Hanks’ entire family."
