Outrageous celebrity backstage requests
While some are downright amusing, others are quite alarming
© Getty Images
When stars show up to perform, a paycheck is simply not enough. They also send a rider, which is a list of extra demands, to the host venue in advance of their appearance, and the venue must then fulfill those requests. Sounds simple, right?
Well, part of the reason we love celebrities is because they're so ridiculously extravagant, and their riders are no exceptions. From hyper-specific food requests, to color schemes and even names of staff present at the venue, click through this gallery to see some of the most exorbitant requests stars have made behind the scenes.
