Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was taken into custody on May 19 after testing positive for marijuana, and subsequently received a 30-day jail sentence for violating his parole. He was booked into a Dallas County jail, and is set to be released on June 16.

The Chiefs and NFL have declined further comment in regards to the fact that Rice will miss organized team practice activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp, which run through June 11.
