Celebrities who survived gunshot incidents

After Megan Thee Stallion was allegedly shot in the foot in July 2020 by fellow rapper Tory Lanez, she took to Instagram and shared: "I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me." Lanez was formally accused of pointing a handgun at Megan’s feet, yelling, “Dance!” and opening fire.

Lanez was charged with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and was ordered to pay US$190,000 bail in addition to having a restraining order filed against him that said he couldn't get within 100 yards of Megan. But he violated the restraining order twice and he was remanded into custody on increased bail of US$350,000. Lanez was later hit with a third felony charge of discharging a firearm with gross negligence. After a highly publicized trial, Lanez was convicted on all three charges and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
