Kim Kardashian is so much more than just a successful media personality and socialite. She's also a fashion icon, and one that constantly turns heads with her bold outfit choices. We see her trotting down the red carpet in skintight dresses, wearing vinyl like it's cotton, and pulling off just the most incredible looks!
She's been known to turn heads at the Met Gala for a few years now, and this year she did not disappoint. In honor of the late Karl Lagerfeld and his known penchant for pearls, Kim showed up in a dress with everything but the corset made of strands of pearls.
"I thought, 'What is more Karl?' You know, the iconic Chanel pearls is what I always thought of. So we wanted to just be dripping in pearls," Kim said of the custom Schiaparelli outfit on the red carpet. While many praised the look, others were reminded of another pearl-covered look: Kim's 2007 Playboy photoshoot which she partook in during the first season of her reality show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians.' Lagerfeld certainly wasn't the only person who has been a fan of pearls.
