Megxit: Autopsy of a royal fairy-tale
Buckingham Palace conclude investigation into bullying allegations against Meghan Markle
©
Getty Images

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's split from the royal family was one of the biggest news events from the British royals since the days of Princess Diana. The unprecedented move shocked the world and showed that the British monarch's long-reigning tradition of silence and stoicism may not hold for much longer. The infamous Oprah interview revealed the royal couple's reasons for separating themselves from the royal institution, exposing a terribly dark side to their supposed fairy-tale.
In response to the allegations made in the interview, staffers of Buckingham Palace fired back in an article in The Times, claiming that they had been bullied by Meghan Markle. The palace announced their intention to investigate, and more than a year later, that investigation has finally been concluded. A palace aide confirmed this on July 29, but said that the results would not be made public. Sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex say they are disappointed that the conclusions won't be shared. They maintain that the allegations were simply another attack on Markle's character and a further attempt to discredit her.
So, what really happened? The only way to understand that is to go back to the beginning. From their tale of romance to resignation, to a renewed sense of purpose, click through to see the biggest royal crisis in decades, and what Harry and Meghan have been up to since then.
