Kaley Cuoco felt a huge blow to her ego after losing out on a role in the sequel to Rian Johnson’s star-studded hit 'Knives Out' to Kate Hudson.

“I was convinced [the part was mine]… I was so convinced that my bags were packed for Greece,” Cuoco told Glamour in her April 2022 cover story. “And then I didn’t get it. I was so devastated. And I’m not [normally] devastated over roles." She explained that she had made it quite far in the audition process, which made the news sting more. "I cried and I cried all night long," she confessed after learning she didn't land the part.

But hindsight is certainly 20/20, and she's since realized that everything worked out as it should have: the day after she lost the part, she got a call about the upcoming rom-com 'Meet Cute' co-starring Pete Davidson. “I said, ‘This is the most magical little script,'” Cuoco recalled. “And I would’ve never gotten it if I [got] ‘Knives.'" She continued, "That’s what it was supposed to be, and ‘Knives’ is going to be great and Kate’s great. She was supposed to do it and I was supposed to do this. And maybe I’ll get to audition for the third one.”

As painful as it may be, failure is unavoidable. It is impossible to go through life succeeding at everything we do, and it wouldn't be good for us either. We have to fail to learn, grow, and become stronger.

However, it is important to have the right attitude towards failure if we want to make the most of it. And who better to learn from than some of the most successful people in their field? Check out this gallery to learn how these celebs handle failure.
