Most people who don't like animals simply haven't gotten to know one. When an actor has to work with an animal on set, they inevitably become close, and it's almost unavoidable that they fall in love with their furry co-star (it helps that they're fully trained).
Countless actors have formed strong bonds with the animals they work with and are absolutely heartbroken with they have to say goodbye. So much so, in fact, that some have tried to take their new friends home!
Such was the case with Jason Momoa on the set of his new movie, 'Slumberland.' The live-action fantasy is based on the comic strip 'Little Nemo in Slumberland,' and apparently, wild boars are involved! Momoa revealed that he had adopted a new friend in an Instagram video that showed him cuddling a baby boar. "my new friend LAU LAU. or MANAPUA. we haven’t decided yet," he wrote, introducing the boar to his followers. He continued, "this is why i can’t work with animals i want to bring them home. wild and feral like his pops." Momoa came to the premiere of 'Slumberland' without his new porcine friend, explaining that he had left him at home in Hawaii. He did, however, carry a toy pig with him as a tribute!
