Maluma -

Colombian singer Maluma left a live interview on Israeli public television after the reporter suggested that the singer's presence and performance at the Qatar World Cup could be accused of whitewashing Qatari human rights abuses, the BBC reports. The reporter began by referencing artists like Dua Lipa and Shakira who refused to take part in the event due to Qatar's "bad records" regarding human rights, and added, "Obviously people think, what, Maluma, don't you have a problem with human rights violations in this country?"

Maluma replied, "Yeah, but it's something that I can't resolve. I just came here to enjoy life, enjoy soccer, the party of soccer. It's not actually something that I have to be involved with. I'm here enjoying my music and the beautiful life playing soccer too."

The reporter pressed further and started to ask if Maluma could understand that people would say his presence would be whitewashing the humans rights abuses, but the singer asked, "Do I have to answer that question?" When he was told no from someone behind the cameras, the reporter shrugged and said he was only asking because people would inevitably ask. Maluma replied, "We don't do that." Then the reporter asked what the problem was, and Maluma said, "You're rude" as he walked off the set.

Christiane Amanpour -

Doubtless Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi would have come out looking bad had he even shown up for his interview with CNN's chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour. The pair were scheduled to conduct an interview in New York on September 21 following his attendance at the United Nations General Assembly. Amanpour reportedly received a last-minute request from the President to wear a head scarf during their interview, which she says she politely declined. This led him to withdraw from the interview 40 minutes after it was already scheduled to start. 

The incident is a poignant reflection of the current political unrest in Iran. Iranian law has required all women to cover their hair and wear loose-fitting clothing for decades, but Raisi's government recently enforced an even stricter crackdown. A 22-year-old woman called Mahsa Amini, known to her loved ones as Jina, was taken into custody by the morality police in Tehran and subsequently died under suspicious circumstances. Her death has sparked protests across the country, with women cutting their hair and burning their hijabs as an act of rebellion against the country's oppressive laws. The protests have reportedly been met with deadly force and an attempted media blackout.

Amanpour, who grew up in Tehran, says she always covers her hair when conducting an interview in Iran out of respect for the country's customs, but she has never been asked to do so on American soil. Amanpour has interviewed every Iranian president since 1995 and claims this is the first time she has been asked to wear a head scarf to do so.

Donald Trump -

The controversial British broadcaster Piers Morgan conducted an interview with former President Donald Trump on his new talk show, ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored.’ The interview showed Trump standing up and demanding the cameras be turned off. According to Morgan, the two conducted a 75-minute interview before he finally broached the touchy subject of the 2020 election results, which Trump has long claimed were fixed. 

Morgan says, “It was a free and fair election. You lost,” and challenges Trump to produce hard evidence to support his claims of fraud. Trump tells Morgan "Only a fool would think that" and eventually walks out after the conversation becomes more heated. He stands up saying "turn the cameras off” and calls Morgan “very dishonest" as he leaves the set.

Robert Downey Jr. - Robert Downey Jr. appeared on a British news show in 2015 and was visibly uncomfortable as the presenter asked him a series of personal questions. He grilled him about his time in prison, and quoted him from past interviews.

Downey Jr. tried to change the tone of the interview by joking "Are we promoting a movie?" Unfortunately the reporter wasn't deterred, and pushed on to ask him about his history with substance abuse, asking him if it was still an issue. Downey Jr. had had enough at that point and shut it down, walking out of the studio.

Paris Hilton -

Paris Hilton appeared on ABC's Good Morning America for an interview in 2011. The interviewer asked her, "Do you ever worry about your moment having passed?" This came after a series of other rude questions. Hilton sat quietly for a moment, sighed, and walked off camera.

Justin Bieber - Justin Bieber appeared on a Spanish radio station for an interview in 2015. The three hosts asked him their questions in English and then proceeded to translate them into Spanish for the listeners. Bieber seemed to have a hard time following their quick fire questions, and simply walked out in frustration after nine minutes.

Rihanna pulled the plug on a video interview with an Australian talk show in 2012. She had been ill the night before but showed up to promote her movie 'Battleship.' The hosts took an ill-advised detour to ask Rihanna about her rumored relationship with Ashton Kutcher and her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, causing the singer to cut the call.

Donald Trump is notorious for walking out of interviews when the mood strikes him. He walked out on an NBC reporter who asked him about allegations of racism and sexism in 2016. He also walked out on a CBS interview when asked about his disagreements with Obama on the issue of surveillance.

Donald Trump - Back in 2003, when Trump was famous for business rather than politics, he was interviewed by Sacha Baron Cohen in character as Ali G. Cohen tried to pitch a product idea he called ice-cream gloves, and apparently it didn't fly with Trump. He walked out while Cohen was trying to convince him to invest, and later tweeted that he never falls for scams...

Russell Crowe - Russell Crowe was being interviewed on a BBC radio show in 2010 when the host started questioning Crowe's accent in the movie 'Robin Hood.' The host suggested that there were hints of Irish in his character's accent, and Crowe proceeded to monologue about how ridiculous that suggestion was before walking off the show.

Nicki Minaj -

Nicki Minaj has famously been involved in multiple public beefs with other music stars. In a 2015 interview, she was asked if any part of her enjoyed the drama of these feuds. Minaj did not take kindly to the question and proceeded tell the interviewer why it was a stupid and disrespectful thing to say. She eventually sent the journalist away, saying, “I don’t care to speak to you anymore.”

Cameron Diaz - Cameron Diaz appeared on an Australian radio show in 2014 to promote her movie 'Sex Tape.' It came to an abrupt end when one of the hosts started making jokes about Drew Barrymore's notorious history with substance abuse, who happens to be a close friend of Diaz's.

Diaz snapped back at the host: "I'm sure, Kyle, you've never been through a drug phase, have you? Or alcoholism or anything like that? Pretty clean; always did it right? Congratulations." He didn't take her not-so subtle hint that she wasn't enjoying the interview, and proceeded to make jokes about her husband. She ended the interview pretty quickly.

Cara Delevingne - Cara Delevingne was the victim of one of the most awkward interviews of all time, but she played it like a pro. She was speaking to a panel of reporters to promote her 2015 movie 'Paper Towns,' and it got off to a bad start when they got her name wrong.

Seacrest almost immediately asked Pattinson to confirm whether or not he was in a relationship with co-star Kristin Stewart. Pattinson's publicist signaled for them to stop the interview and he had to leave rather abruptly!

British girl group Little Mix have reportedly walked out of interviews multiple times. While promoting an upcoming album in 2015, a radio host asked them how they felt about the fact that Justin Bieber was releasing his album on the same day.

Prince - Prince was such an icon that even seasoned TV hosts like Sherri Shepherd couldn't keep their cool around him. When Prince appeared on 'The View' in 2010, Shepherd immediately told him, "I have wanted to make love to you for my whole life, I'm sorry." This humorous overshare did not go down well, and Prince decided to leave the show before his interview.

British singer Rita Ora made a public appearance for the launch of her perfume in 2014. She was unexpectedly questioned about some sensitive topics. A reporter asked her to comment on the rumors that her DJ ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris had refused to release some of her music after they broke up. Ora simply said, "Thank you" and walked away.

The interview got off to a bad start when the reporter described River's comments on the show 'Fashion Police' as "mean," and said that the cover of her book was chosen for shock value. True to form, Rivers told the reporter exactly what she thought and walked out of the interview.

When the notoriously conservative Bill O'Reilly came up against NPR's liberal Terry Gross, it didn't end well. Gross pushed O'Reilly to comment on allegations that he was a bully made by former US Senator Al Franken. O'Reilly stormed out claiming that the interview was a hatchet job and that Gross should be ashamed of herself. He was later fired by the Fox network due to sexual harassment allegations.

Spice Girl Mel B appeared on the Australian breakfast show 'Sunrise,' but they didn't even get to the interview. The hosts teased their upcoming chat with the singer, stating they'd be asking her about her rumored feud with rapper Iggy Azalea. Mel B did not want to feed the drama and walked off.

Boy George - British singer Boy George was convicted of assaulting a male escort back in 2008, and he isn't happy that interviewers are still bringing it up years later. In 2016 he responded badly when he was asked about it: "why don’t you move on to something more helpful, you know what I mean? In fact, you know what … thank you.” He then ripped off his mic and walked out of the studio.

Shannon Tweed is married to the rock star and KISS frontman Gene Simmons, who has a typical rock star's reputation. The couple were interviewed by Joy Behar in 2011, who continued to question Simmons about whether or not he had cheated on his wife and how many women he had slept with. Tweed was visibly uncomfortable and upset during the conversation, and eventually slapped her husband and walked out!
