Sylvester Stallone
- Sylvester Stallone has been in multiple high-profile relationships and has been married three times, so he's learned a thing or two about dating. The 'Rocky' star's daughters Sophia and Sistine shared on their podcast 'Unwaxed' that their father has imparted some of his surprisingly "Shakespearian" advice on love with them. "I was telling my mom about how I have a date this week and my dad suddenly comes out of nowhere," Sophia shared. "He's like, ‘can I just butt in here?'" One of the "golden nuggets" he gave her was "about being patient for the right one," she explained. "And that the way that the guy treats you early on really is an indicator of how his overall personality will be in the relationship." She added that the actor warned that love won't happen on a set timetable, and instead they should focus on what really matters. "He said it might be next week or when you're 35 years old, but choose happiness and true compatibility than chasing the clock."

Harry Styles
- Harry Styles, the beloved British singer who is constantly defying toxic masculinity, stopped in the middle of a concert in Minnesota to give a fan some dating advice when he spotted her sign that read "Should I text him?" Styles started by asking if the guy in question was nice to them, to which a friend of the fan replied that he wasn't. Styles then said, “If you’re wondering, ‘should I text him? Should I not text him? ... Can’t text him too soon. And now I’m thinking about double-texting, that’s a whole risky business.’ ... It’s a whole thing. My personal opinion is that if there’s any sort of games, trash! Trash! Trash! Not for you!” The video has gone viral and one fan on Twitter wrote, "imagine a guy asking you why you didn't text him and you have to say "sorry harry styles told me not to and then he called you trash"".

Celebrity relationship advice that is actually useful
Jennifer Lopez reveals what she learned from her second shot with Ben Affleck
©
Getty Images

Admittedly, celebrities haven't proven themselves to be the best group in our society to take relationship advice from. Many Hollywood relationships don't last very long. However, many of these celebrities have been in relationships for a long time and all of them have some sensible advice for people who are looking to get the most out of their relationships.
One thing that most people can relate to is the thought of getting back together with an ex, and many stars have done that, but most notably (and successfully thus far) is the return of Bennifer. Last year, Jennifer Lopez opened up with The New York Times about what she learned from her mistakes with Ben Affleck during their first relationship, and how that has informed their relationship now.
In the interview, Lopez admitted that the public scrutiny was a huge part of why things didn't work out two decades ago, but that they "learned our lesson the first time," which is why they treat their relationship differently this time. Now they know "To hold it sacred."
"You have to do what feels good to you all the time. But at the same time, you learn from the past, you do things better the second time," she explained. "There's a part of it that, yes, we're together. But there's a part of it that's not, you know, being so open the way we were when we were so young and in love many years ago."
And that wasn't all the advice J.Lo had on learning from the past. "You can't live life and think that things are just mistakes: I just messed up there, I messed up there. No, it's all lessons," she said. "It's really what can you extrapolate from it that is going to help you grow and go to the next level of understanding yourself, finding yourself and being able to be at peace with your life, at peace with who you are." You heard her: live, love, learn—repeat!
