Prince William plans to sell about 20% of the Duchy of Cornwall over the next 10 years to fund new housing, environmental, and renewable energy projects.

The Duchy of Cornwall, created in 1337 to support the heir to the throne, is now managed by William after King Charles became king in 2022. And according to The Times, the future king is expected to raise about the equivalent of US$670 million from the sales, with the duchy focused on five main areas: Cornwall, Dartmoor, the Isles of Scilly, Bath, and parts of London.

The Duchy of Cornwall, worth over $1.3 billion and providing William about $31 million a year, would use the funds to build thousands of homes and expand green energy projects in England.
