Although to adults the prospect of being voted homecoming king or queen may have dwindled in significance, as a high school student, taking home the crown is pretty much the greatest honor there is. And it's no surprise: homecoming week is a great one, full of celebration and fun.
Schools that celebrate homecoming do so annually, and each year two students are elected homecoming king and queen. Sometimes, just sometimes, those homecoming royals go on to achieve fame.
