Members of the British royal family have served in the Armed Forces for many years. Serving the country in a military capacity has become a tradition among male members of the royal family (although Queen Elizabeth II famously made history in this field). But while many royals hold numerous honorary ranks and were appointed a number of roles, in this gallery we'll focus mostly on the ranks attained during their service years.
