Breakups are never easy, particularly when there are kids involved. It can be very difficult to work together to raise a child, when clearly the relationship ended because something wasn't right. However, while some couples are not able to make co-parenting work, others manage it and seemingly to do so with fairly little drama.
Supermodel Miranda Kerr and actor Orlando Bloom were married for three years before parting ways in 2013. They share an 11-year-old son named Flynn whom they co-parent with their new partners. "From day one, when Orlando and I decided to separate, I said, 'Listen, whatever we do, we have to put Flynn's needs first, not our own.' That's the way we make our decisions," Kerr recently told Vogue Australia. "Coparenting with Orlando and Katy [Perry] is something that I feel really happy about," she continued. In the past, Kerr's new husband Evan Spiegel has commented on how effective her co-parenting dynamic is. "What I saw from Miranda and Orlando was very different from what I experienced," the Snapchat CEO explained. "I am in no way a replacement for Flynn's dad. I feel like [I’m part of] Team Flynn."
