These celebs set surprising world records
Dolly Parton has broken three new world records!
© Getty Images
Most celebrities have numerous accolades under their belts, but only a few manage to actually set, break, and hold Guinness World Records. But if you think these are just obvious records (e.g. a singer setting a music-related world record), you're in for a surprise! In fact, many of these celebrity world records are rather peculiar.
The beloved icon Dolly Parton has been awarded three new accolades by Guinness World Records. The 75-year-old has broken numerous records during her extensive career, and in 2021 she broke a few more. (Including some of her own!) Her new titles include the female artist with a career that spans the most decades (seven), and the female artist with the most No.1 hits on the Billboard US Hot Country Songs chart (25). She also beat her own record for the most hits on the Billboard charts in general, with 109 songs making the list. Parton expressed her gratitude in an interview with the organization: "This is the kind of stuff that really makes you very humble and very grateful for everything that's happened. I had no idea that I would be in Guinness World Records this many times! I am flattered and honored."
