"Frankenstein" -

Frankenstein's monster in 'Frankenstein: Italian Style' (in image) in 1975 and 'Bride of Frankenstein' in 1935 is never properly named. It does go by some nicknames though, like "Frankenstein," "The Monster," "The Creature," and "The Wretch."

'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' (1937) is a classic example of a movie in which an iconic villain is never named.

Mariachi, a Mexican folk music, lends its name to Antonio Banderas' character in the 1995 action film 'Desperado.'

In the 2005 dystopian political action film 'V for Vendetta,' the identity of the protagonist is never revealed. "V" is played by Hugo Weaving.

The "Tin Man" is a character from the fictional Land of Oz created by American author L. Frank Baum. This image is from the 1939 film adaptation, 'The Wizard of Oz.'

In 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' (1975), John Cleese plays a host of characters, and one of them is the hilarious "Black Knight" who keeps refusing to admit defeat even after all of his limbs are chopped off in a sword fight, exclaiming "tis but a scratch."

Anne Hathaway's character in 'Get Smart' (2008) isn't given a name either. She's only known as "Agent 99."

The 'Doctor Who' series follows the adventures of an eccentric time-traveling scientist from the remote planet of Gallifrey. It stars a character called "The Doctor," who is a time lord.

"Mr. Blue," "Mr. White," "Mr. Orange," "Mr. Blonde," "Mr. Brown," and "Mr. Pink" -

In the 1992 American crime film 'Reservoir Dogs,' the characters are thieves and so their real names are (for the most part) not revealed. The thieves are played by Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Michael Madsen, Quentin Tarantino, and Edward Bunker.
