Celebs who publicly apologized to their partners
Kanye West admits his mistakes and vows to reunite his family in passionate speech
© Getty Images
Whether they like it or not, celebs have to deal with their lives being on show. The ups, the downs, and everything in between–it's all out there for us normal folk to see. A favorite topic for many media outlets is trouble within celeb relationships. When things go wrong, some celebs choose to honor their partner's privacy and try to make amends in private. But others issue an apology for all the world to hear.
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, did just this while speaking at the L.A. Mission homeless shelter the day before Thanksgiving. The 'Donda' rapper delivered a passionate speech on the importance of family, and declared his intention to reunite his own. "The narrative that God wants is for you to see that everything can be redeemed in all these relationships. We made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband," he admitted. "But I'm here to change that narrative."
Ye stated that he is living in a house close to his estranged wife's so he can remain connected to her and to his children. He is committed to changing and emphasized the importance of keeping families together: "When God, who has already wanted his soul, brings Kimye together, there's gonna be millions of families that are going to be influenced and see that they can overcome, could work as a separation of trauma." Kardashian's new relationship with comedian Pete Davidson has recently been confirmed, so it seems like Ye is playing the long game.
