Prince William, 43, showed off his sporty side during a surprise game of beach volleyball on Rio de Janeiro’s world-famous Copacabana Beach on November 3.
The Prince of Wales joined children from the Levante Institute, a local sports program founded by Brazilian Olympian Carolina Solberg, which helps empower youth through sport. Solberg told People the royal “has a lot of energy” and “could be really good if he practices more.”
William’s beach stop capped off his first day in Brazil, where he highlighted environmental conservation and the work of local lifeguards before visiting Maracanã Stadium for a youth soccer event. His trip will conclude with the Earthshot Prize awards in Rio on November 5.
