The Princess of Wales nearly hit a bystander while playing shinty, the traditional Gaelic sport, for the first time, this at the Bute Shinty Club on September 17 during her and Prince William’s trip to the Isle of Bute in Scotland.
Kate Middleton managed to master her swing on the third try, when the ball flew past the goal post, quite close to bystander Andy McAlindon, an influencer known to his social media followers as Andy the Highlander.
The Princess of Wales later admitted that she was concerned about the impact of the hit. "I was a bit worried I was going to take someone’s teeth out," she told him.
The famous Gaelic game, which the royal couple was invited to join, is usually played with a long, curved wooden stick, known as a caman, and a leather ball. They also had a chance to watch an under-17s game at the shinty club.
Indeed, it's always entertaining to watch famous people playing sports, but things can get really exciting when there are royals involved.
