During an episode of ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ that aired on April 6, the host tearfully opened up about her body insecurities after having two children—Olive, 13, and Frankie, 11.
Barrymore became emotional in response to a viewer, Dawn, who shared her own struggles with self-image after losing a lot of weight. The actress said she could empathize, candidly sharing that her own body was "wrecked" after two C-sections.
"I can’t wear a lot of different types of pants," Barrymore said. "But the other day I was walking around, and I had this shorter shirt on, and I couldn’t keep my jacket closed. And I was walking around like ‘I don’t want anyone to see this.’"
The star added that she understands the difficulty of grappling with body changes as a result of getting older and having children, and complimented Dawn on her new look.
