Given the number of non-famous kids out there, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the chance of the famous ones getting together is slim. Of course, it's not as rare as you might think. There are a number of instances of famous children dating other famous children. In fact, it must be nice to meet someone who understands the bizarre experience of growing up with celebrity parents!

Eddie Murphy's son, Eric Murphy, and Martin Lawrence's daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, announced their engagement via Instagram on November 30. The joint post included a video of the romantic engagement, with the caption "God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn't be more excited for this next chapter." The couple first went public with their relationship in 2021. Despite the fact that their fathers are friends and have starred in two movies together, that wasn't how they met. According to Murphy, they were introduced by his uncle. "We bonded on a lot of things. Obviously, we have similar backgrounds, so we understood each other on a certain level," he said in a 2022 interview. As for their dads, Lawrence has joked that he'll try to get Murphy to pay for the wedding, while Murphy once commented, "If they ever get married and have a child, I'm expecting the child to be funny."
